L.E.D. Lighting Making It's Presence In The Landscaping Market

L.E.D. landscape lighting is now becoming much more advanced, making them more affordable. These new lights have a very good lamp life, making them maintenance free for 10-15 years. Yes you read this right, you do not have to change bulbs for 10-15 years. The other big advantage for L.E.D. fixtures is the much lower wattage useages. You can have much more lighting fixtures on a smaller transformer. Your power bill savings over the life of your lighting system would pay for itself. The L.E.D. lights cost a little more per fixture then traditional lights, but there is a offset in cost on transformer wattage and cable sizing.

L.E.D. lighting is very cool for a few reasons, one being the lamp temperatures are cool to the touch. They are a whiter light that can be changed with several colored lens covers. Great article. There seems to be unlimited ways in how you can use L.E.D lighting. Love the idea of changing the color of the light with a lens. Probably could change this out based on the season.

Your quite right, I like to keep an eye on the led chips being released by manufacturers like seoul and cree. Some very interesting innovations.
